St. Patricks’ Day Celebration At The Village
NAPLES, FL - Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a wee bit early on Thursday, March 11 from 5:30 to 9 pm at the Village on Venetian Bay.
Students from The Tír na nÓg Dance Studio, an established Irish Dance academy in Naples, will perform traditional Irish dance. The family run school embraces a philosopy of mixing dance and fun.
The Academy’s name is borrowed from Tír na nÓg, Irish mythology that loosely translates as “Land of Youth”. Tír na nÓg was considered a place beyond the edges of the map, located on an island far to the west. Tales during the Middle Ages told of this otherworld as a place of eternal youth and beauty where music, strength, life, and all pleasurable pursuits were brought together.
Although the folklore refers to no need for food or drink in this mystical place, there will be ample tasty Irish fare to satisfy your “Irish” taste buds at the Village. Among the cuisine to be offered for purchase is corned beef and cabbage, soda bread, and of course, lots of green beer.
The Village will be alive with sound of traditional Irish music, jigs and reels by Jimmy and Dave, a duo playing guitar and fiddle.
Located at 4200 Gulf Shore Blvd. Off of Park Shore Drive, the Village on Venetian Bay by The Lutgert Companies has been a world-class shopping and dining destination for over twenty-five years. For more information call 239.403.2204.  [back]
