A Record Breaking Sip & Sample at The Village Shops on Venetian Bay!

This year’s 10th annual Sip & Sample, held on Thursday, November 21st, was a true celebration of a divine decade of philanthropy, food, friends, and of course wine! The influx of attendees was made up of the many familiar faces that have attended the event consistently for ten years, as well as new friends joining in the fun, topping the charts with a total attendance of 350+ people!

Upon arrival, guests were elegantly greeted by the gentle, yet beautiful, sounds of the ever so talented harpist, Christian Bell of The Coastal Harpist. Talk about a grand entrance for a grand event!

Friends of Foster Children Forever, the event’s beneficiary, checked in guests one by one distributing the event passports and wine glasses for a Sip & Sample tour around the north and south sides of The Village Shops. With the weather in the low 70’s, holiday lights illuminating, and the sounds of the harp, you truly couldn’t ask for a more perfect Sip & Sample setting.

For the 10th consecutive year, The Village Shops’ retailers and restaurants collaborated and created unique displays to show their support for Friends of Foster Children Forever. Each stop provided offerings with everything from charcuterie boards to full appetizer displays, paired with a wide selection of wines and champagnes. Not only was there record breaking ticket sales, but this event marked the highest number of Sip & Sample stops along the way including The Village Shops’ newest retailers Monkee’s of Naples, Southern Tide, Time 4 U Med Spa, Expedia CruiseShipCenters, and Le Petit French Café, giving guests a full passport and travel experience.

As the evening continued, many fashionistas snuck off between sips and samples to shop the high-end designer brands, saving their receipts to further support Friends of Foster Children Forever and their vital mission to serve local foster children. Now through Sunday, November 24th, The Village Shops is pleased to invite guests to continue to support FFCF by dropping sales receipts in the drop boxes located on the south side of The Village near Pratt’s Shoe Salon or on the north side near Panache. The Village Shops will be donating ten percent of all sales from collected receipts to FFCF.
