Another Great Turnout at the Thanksgiving Gobble, Gobble Four Miler!
The sun rose over The Village Shops on a brisk Thanksgiving morning.
Crowds of family and friends gathered in running gear and Thanksgiving themed costumes, ready to get in their morning exercise. By 7:00am, the starting line was packed with runners doing their final stretches before racing down Gulfshore Boulevard.
The Gobble, Gobble Four Miler officially kicked off at 7:30am.
A police officer on a motorcycle led the pack from start to finish with lights flashing. As the many trotters took off, the path was sprinkled with runners of all ages and dogs of all sizes.
Not long after the start, runners began to circle back around heading towards the finish line, immediately greeted with music, medals, and water.
The cool down commenced as guests walked around and observed the holiday décor and many lights that illuminated The Village. Everyone admired Naples tallest Christmas Tree and stopped for a photo op to capture the many pops of color from the tree’s ornaments, lights, snowflakes, and ribbons!
At 8:50, the Lil’ Gobbler’s Dash began as the little turkeys trotted to the finish line.
Everyone was all smiles throughout the morning enjoying a perfect start to their Thanksgiving while supporting St. Matthew’s House and 95210 Kids on the Go!
