Day or Night, Come Explore the Sights at The Village Shops!

From food to fashions, a day on the Bay does not disappoint! If you’re wondering what’s in store, surely, it’s options galore! There are six sparkling waterfront restaurants, 40+ unique boutiques, salons, spas, services, a quaint café, and Naples only Ben & Jerry’s! It doesn’t get much better than that!

Actually, it does! We are proud to report that the Bay just got even better! While everything above the water is already top notch, we are here to tell you about the improvements under the water! The Village recently created an artificial reef, installing 215 concrete reef balls and over 4,300 cubic yards of riprap around the perimeter of the seawall.

The reef balls, porous in appearance, have many positive features that promote marine life, such as holes for water flow and rough surfaces for attachment of algae, oysters, barnacles, coral, and other sea life. The riprap uses rocks to build a barrier wall around The Village Shops preventing erosion and facilitating the growth of plants and crustaceans. Together the reef balls and riprap increase habitats for marine life, protect from erosion, and create cleaner water.

Now that this project is complete, come see the immense underwater improvements for yourself. The Venetian Bay fish and other aquatic life are now easily spotted both during the day and at night due to 50 underwater lights installed around The Village. With these lights and this eco-friendly upgrade, The Village Shops is glowing green while going green!
