Holiday Hospitality: Celebrating our Local Concierge Community at The Village Shops
The Southwest Florida Concierge Association jingled all the way around The Village Shops for our Holiday Concierge Walk. These lovely locals spend the year sending countless guests to The Village to enjoy waterfront dining, spectacular shopping, and unforgettable Village experiences. This time, it was our turn to return the hospitality.
On Tuesday, December 9th, we welcomed the concierge for an evening filled with sips, samples, and savory treats…and plenty of holiday sparkle! Laughter echoed through The Village all evening long as the concierge mingled, jingled, and enjoyed all the festive fun!
After beginning at T-Michaels and ending at M Waterfront Grille (with a photo op at our Christmas tree between), the night wrapped up with Village goodie bags filled with wine themed surprises: custom Village bags, charcuterie boards, wine openers, silicone wine glasses, gift cards, wine totes, a special bottle of Sukie’s Wine Shop’s featured wine, and more magical surprises.
Stop 1: T-Michael’s Steak & Lobster House
T-Michaels wowed right from the start with their incredible views and signature Shrimp Sambal appetizer! Then the guests got to pick the cocktail of their choice. The Million Dollar Margarita was the star of the stop!
Stop 2: Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar
Bayside’s shimmering Christmas Tree made for a stunning second stop entrance. Inside, guests were treated to Gazpacho Shooters, Lump Crab Bites, and the most colorful Holiday Aperol Spritz, complete with a candy cane garnish!
Stop 3: MiraMare Ristorante
A Village walk isn’t complete without a sip of MiraMare Ristorante’s finest red and white wines paired with fried and grilled calamari, stuffed mushrooms, and live music. Waterfront perfection!
Stop 4: Fish Restaurant
Through the tunnel to the North Side, there were two more stops to hit! Fish Restaurant was ready to go (and glow). The name of the restaurant was evident when peering over the railing and seeing all the catfish swimming through the glow of the green lights. Red and white wine, pizza, and calamari were finished quickly and on we went!
Stop 5: M Waterfront Grille
After a stop at the beautiful Christmas Tree, it was time for the finale, M Waterfront Grille. Upon entering, each guest was greeted with a goodie bag from The Village Shops and a round of indulgent espresso and chocolate martinis! As the food came out, you could hear the excitement as M’s signature menu item landed on each table, the Shrimp + Crab Spring Rolls. Then, equally impressing, M introduced their newest menu item, Tuna Tataki Tostada.
There was of course no better way to finish off the evening than with their most delicious dessert, donut holes with a trio of dipping sauces (coconut cream, Nutella ganache, and dulce de leche!).
What a merry and memorable evening! We at The Village Shops are deeply grateful for our incredible partnership with the Southwest Florida Concierge Association and the many wonderful guests they send our way each year. We can’t wait to welcome them back for next year’s holiday celebration!
