Holiday on the Bay Brought Festive Fun to the Waterfront!
The Holiday on the Bay festivities sure were bushels of fun at The Village Shops this weekend! Thank you to everyone who helped us throw the ultimate Santa sendoff event! It is safe to say that Santa headed back to the North Pole smiling with glee!
Santa, along with Naples’ tallest Christmas tree, stood front and center as the stars of the show. The man in the big red suit stayed busy all evening long chatting about holiday wish lists, posing for photos, and sending children on their way with candy canes, photo keepsakes, and twinkling eyes filled with excitement as they eagerly await his visit in a few short days.
Plus, quite a few festive four-legged friends enjoyed a Santa visit as well. Tongues were out and tails were wagging, all signs of a good time.
Adding even more merry magic to the night were special appearances from the lovely Mrs. Claus, mischievous Grinch, Frozen Princesses, Gingerbread Man and Woman, and Santa’s tallest and shortest elf! The characters had a blast visiting with the children and even dancing and clapping along to the music.
The holiday spirit soared to an even higher note with the sounds of the Naples Carolers. Dressed in elegant Victorian costumes, the carolers sang crowd-favorite songs including “Feliz Navidad” and “Jingle Bells”. At one point, we event spotted them taking a little “Bay break” strolling up to the Park Shore bridge and peering out over the water, giving a friendly wave to the camera, of course!
It wasn’t just the music filling the air! At 6pm, snow flurries began to flutter all around The Village, creating a truly magical moment. Hands rose to the sky as children ran around catching snowflakes!
Thank you to everyone who made Holiday on the Bay such a joyful celebration at The Village Shops! With the 10-day countdown to Christmas officially underway, it is time to shop! Stay tuned because we will be dropping gift ideas this week to cross off everyone on your list.
