We are here on o-fish-ial business, reporting live that The Village Shops has executed an initiative focused on environmental sustainability. Now, this is making waves in the right direction! While you often think of one-of-a-kind shopping and downright delicious dining when you think of The Village Shops, now you can also think of our fin-tastic eco-friendly addition.

The Bay just got even better with The Village’s installation of an artificial reef using reef balls and riprap around the perimeter. The reef’s design is a win-win for everyone: the fish and critters benefit from a safe and sustainable new habitat while the Village visitors get an up-close look under the water, made even more visible at night due to the enchanting glow of 50 underwater lights.

Next time you’re at The Village popping in the shops or grabbing a bite, make sure to soak in each sight whether it is a school of fish swimming through the reef, dolphins leaping in and out of the water, sting rays shuffling, and so much more! The underwater creatures sure know how to put on a show at The Village!
