Merry Memories were Made at Grand Illuminations!

‘Tis the season to be jolly! The magic of the season officially arrived at The Village Shops as we kicked off the holidays with our annual Grand Illuminations celebration! Crowds of merry guests, dressed in their holiday best, gathered to enjoy the festivities – singing, shopping, Santa visits, and a whole lot of seasonal sparkle!

Carolers Spreading Christmas Cheer

The Dickens Carolers set the tone from the very first note, filling the air with holiday cheer (and classics like “Feliz Navidad” and “Jingle Bells”). The carolers led the crowds of people to the show-stopping Christmas Tree, which stood tall as the center of the celebration.

Santa Arrived in Style

Right at 3pm, excitement rippled through the crowd because Santa had arrived! Rolling up in his Red Mini Cooper “sleigh”, Santa was instantly greeted by a line of families excited and eager for their special visit. Santa spent the evening listening to wish lists, sharing smiles, and creating memories that families took home not only in their hearts but also in complimentary framed photos and a candy cane treat to sweeten the night!

Christmas Character Visits

Santa Claus wasn’t the only guest of honor at Naples North Pole! Grand Illuminations had a whole cast of cheerful characters spreading joy and even sneaking away for some shopping and socializing!

Santa’s tallest elf towered over the crowd just like the glistening Christmas Tree, alongside her sidekick, mini elf.

The Gingerbread Man and Woman handed out endless hugs and high-fives.

The Frozen Princesses glided gracefully through The Village, attempted to freeze the Venetian Bay, and put on a fabulous snow show with their magical powers!

The mischievous Grinch stomped around with his signature scowl, trying to steal Christmas but instead settling for a few waves, high-fives, playful thumbs down, and laughs from the crowd.

Lights, Snow, & Holiday Glow!

With a beautiful sunset came a series of surprises! At 6 o’clock on the dot, the crowd joined together for a countdown (which we think all of Parkshore Drive and Gulf Shore Blvd. heard)! “Three…two…ONE!” The tree came to life with a dazzling display of lights and snow flurries danced through the night sky!
