The 8th Annual Couture, Cuisine, and Charity Fashion Show Was Another Great Success!
The Village Shops on Venetian Bay hosted another fabulous Couture, Cuisine, & Charity Fashion Show on Thursday, March 28th. Guests arrived early, anxiously waiting to view this season’s latest fashions from several of the beloved retailers.
As guests took their seats, they were pleasantly surprised to find Village Shops’ bags filled with all kinds of goodies! The retailer’s VIP guests checked-in, taking their seats alongside the stage. The VIPs socialized with friends, sipped champagne and sampled the elaborate fruit displays compliments of FISH restaurant.
At 6pm, the audience settled in their seats and quieted as the fabulous and fashionable Lindsey Sablan, WINK News Morning Anchor and this year’s emcee, took the stage. While on the runway, Lindsey’s fashions caught the eyes of the audience, as she showed off the navy, floral linen wrap dress from Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James clothing line, all sold at Panache.
The music was cued… and the models took the runway! The show opened with a Coastal theme. These looks included everything from swimwear, casual wear, day-to-night looks, and more. Floral, patterns, and pops of color filled the runway.
Halfway through the show, the theme transitioned to Neapolitan style. The Neapolitan looks represented all things Naples lifestyles. Luncheon, gala, golf game, dinner party, etc…the models sported looks to be worn at any occasion.
The final look before the finale was a complete show stopper! The seasoned model took the runway in Italian designs by Mariapia Malerba and a hat by Gwendolyn Gleason, sold at Casanova Boutique. The model earned applause all around as the guests were in awe by the beauty of the runway look.
The finale was perfectly executed, as guests were reminded again of all the beautiful fashions. A special “thank you” goes out to Michaela & Co. for piecing together a stylish spring show and also to the participating retailers – All About April, Casanova Boutique, Chico’s, DanaTyler, J&K Collections, J.McLaughlin, Mondo Uomo, Panache, Patchington, Pratt’s Shoes Salon, Sara Campbell, the b. store, Tommy Bahama, and Whispers of Naples.
The fun didn’t stop after the finale. After the fashion show, guests joined the Sip and Sample portion of the evening, by making a donation to a very worthy cause. A $50 donation to Friends of Foster Children Forever allowed guests to enjoy tastes and wine from participating restaurants and retailers. The guests continued the evening by sipping, sampling, shopping, and socializing!
In addition to the proceeds from the Sip & Sample, The Village will also be donating 10% of sales from collected receipts, now through Sunday, March 31st, to support Friends of Foster Children Forever.
