The Village Shops Takes Home Gold at the 2018 “Best of Naples” Awards!
Businesses from around Naples gathered on Wednesday, August 8th, at the Naples Grande Beach Resort for the 16th Annual “Best of Naples” award ceremony. This year’s “Under the Sea” theme added to the excitement, with strolling sea life and dancing mermaids, as businesses anxiously awaited the unveiling of the Gold and Silver “Best of Naples” awards.
Prior to the “Best of Naples” award ceremony, the contest held online voting June 17th through July 1st. The Village Shops was nominated into two categories, Shopper’s Paradise and Restaurants, Food & Nightlife, with four separate nominations. These categories recognized The Village Shops as the true “Jewel of Naples”, basing the voting on the many aspects that make up The Village including beautiful architecture, breathtaking views of the Venetian Bay, six sparkling waterfront restaurants, and 40+ unique boutiques.
The room filled and the cheering grew louder as Naples Daily News began reading off the winners. The Village Shops on Venetian Bay appeared on the big screens four times and the clapping progressively got louder for each award as the locals showed support for their favorite place to shop, dine, attend events, and the many other year-round perks offered by The Village.
The Village Shops was honored to take home three Gold awards for best Restaurant with a View, Romantic Dining, and Waterfront Dining and Silver for best Shopping Experience.
