Along the perimeter of the property, 215 reef balls and more than 4,300 cubic yards of riprap have been installed beneath the waters of the Venetian Bay, creating a valuable underwater habitat while bringing even more marine life to our waterfront. It’s a win-win for sustainability and sightseeing…and one more reason a visit to The Village is anything but ordinary.
Around here, some of our most memorable visitors arrive by water! The artificial reef has helped create an environment that attracts an incredible variety of marine life. Guests have spotted dolphins cruising through the Bay, manatees making surprise appearances, schools of fish gathering beneath the surface, and so much more.

As the sun goes down, The Village takes on an entirely different kind of magic. More than 50 underwater green lights illuminate the Bay after dark, drawing schools of fish and other underwater critters toward the waterfront. Find a spot along the railing, peer into the glowing water, and you’ll feel as though you’ve discovered a real-life aquarium beneath your feet.
