Winter Wine Festival Auction Winners: Girls’ Day Out at The Village Shops Benefitting Naples Children & Education Foundation!
The Naples Winter Wine Festival is held each year consisting of brunches, lunches, dinners, and auctions, all of which raise money for Naples Children & Education Foundation. NCEF strives to make a profound and sustaining difference in the quality of children’s lives. Since its inception in 2001, the Naples Winter Wine Festival has raised more than $191 million for children in need, as a result, improving the lives of over 200,000 underprivileged and at-risk children in Collier County.
The Village Shops on Venetian Bay is also a strong advocate of helping children in Southwest Florida, donating over $40,000 a year to more than a dozen local charities. The Girls’ Day Out online auction package donated to the Naples Winter Wine Festival is another way The Village Shops gives back to the community while creating a fun, fashion-filled day for several lucky Naples’ residents.

On Wednesday, February 19th, the winner of the 2019 Girls’ Day Out, Katie and her mom Liz, came ready to enjoy all the auction package perks! Katie and Liz started out their morning at J&K Collections. With help from the ever-fashionable store associates, the ladies had fitting rooms full of items to try on and model. They modeled several of J&K’s signature items including organic linen dresses, cashmere sweaters, and beautiful Jennifer Landis Jewelry.
Next stop was Wildflower Boutique. Katie and Liz were wowed by this fashion forward boutique. Every item could go straight from clothing rack to runway with its high quality, vibrant materials. The ladies hit the jackpot in Wildflower picking out two new outfits each from a number of Wildflower’s favorite designers. As seen in the picture below, these women are going to be styled head to toe in Wildflower with Katie selecting a tracksuit, jeans, and a top from designers Luisa Cerano and Bogner and Liz selecting two pants and tops from designers Luisa Cerano, Marc Cain, and Dismero. That’s what we like to call successful shopping!
A morning of shopping worked up an appetite! Katie and Liz stopped at MiraMare Ristorante to enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the Venetian Bay. The weather could not have been more perfect, situated in the mid 70’s with the sun shimmering off the water.
The last check-off on the shopping portion of the day was Panache! Katie and Liz viewed Southern Tide, Brighton, and other collections in store browsing the racks and trying on shoes. The ladies loved the many styles and brands The Village boutiques had to offer.
Up next was Robert of Philadelphia for blowouts and styles. Katie and Liz sat back and relaxed while the talented stylists worked their magic. After posing for a glamour shot, Katie and Liz headed to Sukie’s Wine Shop feeling like super models with an extra shine and bounce in their step.
A knowledgeable sommelier at Sukie’s provided samples of six premium bottles of wines, educating the women on the story behind each bottle. After trying the reds, whites, and a bottle of bubbly, the ladies were sent on their way with a goodie bag from Sukie’s full of 6 more bottles to take home and try! The ladies also received beautiful Venetian stemware from Canasova Glass & Art to sip in style at home and complimentary Village Shops L.L. Bean Totes full of goodies to store all their exciting new gifts!
Last but surely not least, the lovely ladies ended their night dining at Fish Restaurant, accompanied by their husbands. They enjoyed top-of-the-line seafood, beautiful waterfront views, and great company. Katie and Liz had the ultimate girls day on the Bay!
