Women’s History Spotlight: Patchington

When it comes to highlighting women-founded businesses, Patchington has a unique story. In 1969, Carol Dolan turned a hobby – sewing fun, preppy patchwork clothes – into a business out of her garage in Clearwater, Florida, where CC Patches was born. She later opened a store and called it Patchington.
Known for its love of the resort lifestyle, Patchington is your go to shop for packable, wrinkle-free, travel clothes and cruise wear, with stand-out accessories. Today, this women-founded business has 10 stores across Florida, all managed and staffed by women.
We also want to spotlight Renee Lee, the incredible manager of Patchington at The Village Shops, located on the north side in suite 204. Not only is she the friendly face you see in the store and fashion shows around the community but she also handles the marketing for all 10 Florida locations!
While the Patchington brand is known for fashion, friendship and fun, philanthropy is also at its core! Every month, Patchington partners with local charities, hosting fashion shows to give back to the local community.
Patchington’s motto “It’s All About You!” couldn’t be more fitting! From confidence-boosting yet comfortable clothing to their selfless philanthropic efforts, Patchington is a brand that truly puts women first!
